Retrovelo Bikes.... how many amazing bikes can I love???
um. Uh oh. I don't want to cheat on my beautiful Amsterdam bike from Electra, but, well.. sometimes it's okay to be polyamorous, right? I HAVE always had a problem with settling...
So imagine how I felt when I saw this website. These bikes are actually from Germany, but are lighter than Dutch bikes. This is important because first, Dutch bikes are SO hardy- they can take almost anything. But the problem is that they can also be a bit heavy... hence, a nice, light design.
I will say that I wish they had a version with pedal brakes. I just can't alternate between the two without a not-unfounded fear that I may forget how to brake. And then I would fall off my bike and chip a tooth or something...
