Galloping to Web fame, the foal star Champagne Charlie

And now this lovely little donkey called Champagne Charlie is leaping into the lives of thousands of Internet users as the star of a website.
It is getting up to 1,500 hits a week as fans log on to see his frolics around the Canine Country Club luxury kennels near Bude, Cornwall.

Charlie's owners Tim and Jackie Ferrier first mentioned the
foal during his mother Holly's year-long pregnancy, during which they wrote a regular blog - a Web diary - about her.
"We used to have about 1,000 hits a week and as soon as Charlie was born, it went up," said Mrs Ferrier.
"We had people saying, 'Please don't stop Holly's blog - we want to know about her baby.' Charlie, who currently weighs in at about 80lb, can be seen at www.caninecountryclub.co.uk
