An Open Letter to H & M

Dear H & M,

Have I offended you?  Is there a reason why you have abandoned your faithful fans in Florida?

Yesterday, when I was walking on Collins Avenue, leaving Equinox, I could not help but think of you, for you were supposed to be located in the ground floor commercial space.
Yet, somehow, we now have a much-hyped but incredibly boring boutique (With some affiliation with Monte-Carlo, apparently), a Zara which sells only winter clothes, and - whoohoo!- a Mango.
As a professional shopper and as someone who watched trends, I am terribly disappointed that you haven't graced South Beach with a even a small, boutique H & M.  I've lived in Amsterdam, and I show you my support every time I visit.  I have Swedish friends!  What more can I do?  Where else can a girl go and wander around and find fun, disposable trends?  What about my needs?  I like Viktor & Rolf, too!
So, H& M, you sponsor a wedding union for your designers- you even invited Chloe Sevigny to your party! - yet you manage to completely ignore a major shopping market in the United States, and continue to expand in Indiana.   Do you need help finding a space?  I have a few gorgeous spaces picked out!
Oh, well.  I suppose you will have to remain my NYC treat.. and when I wear your creations here in Miami, everyone will ask me where I bought my dress.  Am I to share my secret with these people?  Or, when I do tell them, how do I explain that H&M opened recently in Kuwait, yet can't quite make it to Florida?  I just on't want to take this rejection anymore.

I am truly disappointed,  H & M, and hope you remedy this situation quickly.

Sincerely,

Caroline

P.S. Any invitations to your opening party in Miami (should it ever come to pass) can be sent to me at caroline@everythingcaroline.com.  Thanks!

P.P.S.

I'll leave you with photos from MNG (aka Mango's) new campaign.  At least they have Milla!

H&M, THIS COULD BE YOU.

Finally, dear readers, you, too, can voice your concerns to: mediarelations@hm.com.  Here's what we're missing:
